It's "Ben" Fun

One of America’s greatest and best-loved sources of wit and wisdom has been Founder, Benjamin Franklin. Franklin was a printer, writer, scientist, inventor, fireman, postmaster, musician, statesman, ambassador, and revolutionary. He was respected in his own time as something of an American Solomon. We here on the staff of the Alliance of Christian Patriots appreciate wisdom, and we thought it might be a good time to resurrect some of the sage sayings of Franklin and our other Founders for our education, edification, and entertainment. We will periodically update this page with new – well, maybe we should say “different” – proverbs, so keep checking back.

“How few there are who have courage enough to own their Faults,
or resolution enough to mend them.”

“He that can compose himself, is wiser than he that composes books.”

“At the working man’s house hunger looks in, but dares not enter.”

(This one is for all our misguided politicians.)
“To err is human, to repent divine; to persist devilish.”

(And here’s one more for all you ladies.)
“One good Husband is worth two good Wives; for the scarcer things are,
the more they’re valued.”
